This was a big hit in 1957. The song would prove to be Perry
Como’s last over-all number one on the Billboard charts.

The Buddy Holly Story is a 1978 biographical film which tells the life story of rock
legend Buddy Holly. It stars Gary Busey, as Buddy,and Maria Richwine as Maria
Elena Holly. It won the  Academy Award for Best Original Song Score and for its Adaptation of Best Adaptation Score, and was nominated for Best Actor in a
Leading Role (Gary Busey) and for Best Sound.

Jacqueline Cochran stands in front of the Canadian-built F-86 Sabre jet, in which
she became the first woman to break the sound barrier. Cochran flew over Rogers
Dry Lake, California at an average speed of 652.337 miles-per-hour. Among her
other aviation firsts: She was the first woman to take off from an aircraft carrier, the
first woman to reach Mach 2, the first pilot to make a blind instrument landing and
the first woman inducted into the Aviation Hall of Fame.
