FIRST CLOSE UP PIC’S OF MARS ON THIS DATE IN 1965

Mariner 4 was launched from Cape Kennedy, Florida on November 28, 1964. It
became the first satellite to perform a successful fly-by of the planet Mars taking
the first close-up pictures of the planets surface and transmitting them to Earth
beginning on July 15, 1965. On December 21, 1967 communications with Mariner
4 were terminated.

in April of 1975.

Ronstadt has released over 30 solo albums, more than 15 greatest hits
albums, charted thirty-eight Billboard Hot 100 singles, twenty-one of which
have reached the top 40, ten of which have reached the top 10, three
peaking at No. 2, the No. 1 hit, "You’re No Good”. She has also charted
thirty-six albums, ten Top 10 albums, and three No. 1 albums on the
Billboard Pop Album Charts.
