Dion Francis DiMucci is one of the most popular American rock and roll
performers of the pre-British Invasion era. He had over a dozen Top 40
hit records in the late 1950s and early 60s. Included are “Runaround Sue”
and “The Wanderer” in the 1961.The group, Dion and the Belmonts was
formed in late 1957 when Dion joined his friends The Belmonts, Carlo
Mastrangelo, Freddie Milano, and Angelo D’Aleo. In 2000, Dion and the
Belmonts were inducted in The Vocal Group Hall of Fame.  

"A Teenager in Love” was released in March of 1959, eventually
hitting No. 5 on the pop charts.
