BOB CRANE SHOW

Bob Crane (above), while a DJ at Los Angeles radio station KNX,
become a regular on The Donna Reed Show. Crane played Dr.
Dave Kelsey, Alex Stone’s colleague. Dave virtually disappeared after
Crane received his own series, Hogan’s Heroes on CBS-TV from 1965
to 1971.

  1. Actually, Bob Crane did not quit his job at KNX to accept the role of neighbor Dave Kelsey on “The Donna Reed Show” in 1962. He worked at KNX and “The Donna Reed Show” simultaneously from 1962-1965. He left both KNX and “The Donna Reed Show” in 1965 to accept the role of Colonel Hogan on “Hogan’s Heroes.” (See http://vote4bobcrane.blogspot.com/2011/06/bob-crane-radio-his-drums-and-hogans.html)
