The Peanuts comic strip character Snoopy is famous for his alter-egos, one of which 
is the imaginary battles with World War l Flying Ace “The Red Baron”. The fantasy’s
first appeared in the strip on Sunday October 10, 1965 (above).

    Never really liked Snoopy as the World War 1 flying ace I’m afraid sorry, but I agree with Charlie Brown at the end of the strip I love the most.

    That’s not the Oct 10, 1965 strip you reproduce above; it’s the July 10, 1966 strip, one of the many fine World War I Flying Ace strips.
