The John F. Kennedy Eternal Flame is a presidential memorial at the gravesite of President John F. Kennedy located in Arlington National Cemetery. It replaced the temporary gave and eternal flame used during Kennedy’s funeral on November 25,
1963. The Consecration ceremony, which took only 20 minutes, was attended by
President Lyndon B. Johnson, Mrs. Kennedy, and other members of the family. .
