Boy George (George Alan O’Dowd) is an English singer-songwriter, who 
was part of the English New Romanticism movement which emerged
in the early 1980s. His music is often classified as blue-eyed soul,
which is influenced by rhythm and blues and reggae.

 

"Do You Really Want to Hurt Me" by Culture Club with Boy
George was their first single released in the U.S. It reached 
number two on the
Billboard Hot 100 singles chart in March
of 1983.
