Earl Holliman in "Where Is Everybody?" was the first episode of the CBS
television anthology series The Twilight Zone. Screenwriter, novelist and
TV producer Rod Serling created the series. He was also the narrator of
the show. The original run, with 156 episodes, was October 2, 1959 to
June 19, 1964

Episode 8 “Time Enough at Last” starring Burgess Meredith as
the bookworm Henry Bemis. It was one of Serling’s favorite
episodes.
