Orville Clarence Redenbacher (July 16, 1907 – September 19, 1995)
After graduation from Purdue University, he started a very successful
fertilizer company, devoting his free time to improving popcorn.
Redenbacher was found dead in the Jacuzzi of his condominium in
Coronado, California. Authorities determined he had suffered a heart
attack and drowned. He was cremated and his ashes scattered at
sea.
J. Cool here and i’m glad to hear his ashes were scattered at sea. I use to buy O. R. popcorn all the time, but I quit when I heard they put his ashes into the popcorn! Since then I hadn’t “ASH”pired to buy O. R. anymore! Guess I will go get some now. All Star Baseball game in one hour!
