Albert James "Alan" Freed

Alan Freed’s "The Moondog House" program debuted on WJW radio
in Cleveland and was heard from 11:15 PM until 2 AM. He devoted
the show entirely to R&B platters. His loyal fans called themselves
Moondoggers and Freed billed himself as their king.
