The music show Your Hit Parade premiered on NBC-TV and featured vocalists
covering the top hits of the week. It had been on radio since 1935. It moved to
CBS in 1958 but was canceled the following year, unable to cope with the
rising popularity of Rock ‘n’ Roll.

I loved this show as a kid and watched every week. I always wondered why it was canceled. the cast did some rock n roll. I remembered Snooky Lansen sang “you AIN’T nOTHIN BUT A HOUND DOG”,A REALLY COOL VERSION OF IT. THAT WAS A REALLY GOOD PROGRAM AND i WISH TO SEE SOMETHING LIKE IT AGAIN.
