Richard Lynn Carpenter

Pop musician Richard Carpenter is best known as one half of 
the brother/sister duo The Carpenters, along with his sister
Karen Carpenter. He was a record producer, arranger, pianist
and keyboardist, and occasional lyricist, composer as well as
joining with Karen on harmony vocals. Karen suffered from
anorexia nervosa that ultimately claimed her life in 1983.

Barney began his broadcasting career at KEX radio in 1943. He remained in the
”Keep Time” morning-drive slot for 35 years, retiring in 1979. Barney was a true professional in every sense of the word!
