Gale Storm and co-star Charles Farrell

My Little Margie is sitcom starring Gale Storm and Charles Farrell that
alternated between CBS and NBC from 1952 to 1955. The series was
created by Frank Fox and produced in Los Angeles, California at Hal
Roach Studios
by Hal Roach, Jr. and Roland D. Reed.

My Little Margie premiered on CBS as the summer replacement for I
Love Lucy
on June 16, 1952, under the sponsorship of Philip Morris
cigarettes.When the series moved to NBC for its third season in the
fall of 1953, Scott Paper Company became the sponsor.

APACHE HERO BORN ON THIS DAY IN 1829

Geronimo-
    Geronimo ("one who yawns")  (June 1829 – February 17, 1909)

Geronimo was a Native American hero of the Apache Wars who led his people
in the fight against Texas and Mexico. He was forced to surrender in 1886 and
lived many of his remaining years as a prisoner of war. Geronimo had nine wives
and two children. He was in President Theodore Roosevelt’s inauguration parade  
in 1905. Geronimo died from complications of pneumonia at Fort Sill, Okla.

Stan Laurel (Arthur Stanley Jefferson)

  (June 16, 1890 – February 23, 1965)


Stan Laurel, a British born comic actor, writer and film director, is
most remembered as Laurel of the comedic duo Laurel and Hardy,
Hardy being Oliver Hardy. Laurel began his career in the British
music hall, from where he took a number of his standard comic
devices. He served as an understudy to Charlie Chaplin and
gave his debut professional performance in a stage play in
Glasgow.
