Brace Beamer was the Lone Ranger on radio when I was growing up. I was born in 1936. Jay Silverheels was the only person I ever knew who played Tonto. His nephew was Dan Reed. The Lone Ranger was the sole survivor of the group of ranger who were ambushed and killed. Tonto found the ranger alive and nursed him back to health. Silver was a horse in a group of wild horses. He was roped and tamed by the ranger. The Kandivish gang were the culprids (sp).
