Kellogg’s was founded as the Battle Creek Toasted Corn Flake Company on
February 19, 1906, by Will Keith Kellogg as an outgrowth of his work with his
brother John Harvey Kellogg at the Battle Creek Sanitarium following practices
based on the
Seventh-day Adventist Church. The company produced and
marketed the hugely successful Kellogg’s Toasted Corn Flakes and was
renamed the Kellogg Company in 1922.

SINGLE RELEASED ON THIS DAY IN 1963

"Be True to Your School" is a song written by Brian Wilson and
Mike Love for American rock band the Beach Boys, released as
the third track of their album Little Deuce Coupe.

The song features the melody of the University of Wisconsin‘s
fight song, "On Wisconsin", although it’s a tribute to Hawthorne
High
School, which the Wilson brothers attended. Hawthorne
High School’s fight song uses the same melody as "On
Wisconsin".
