William Gary Busey was born in Goose Creek, Texas.
Gary Busey starred in The Buddy Holly Story in 1978, and has also appeared
in Point Break (1991), Lethal Weapon (1991), and Under Siege (1992).
He was a drummer for country stars such as Willie Nelson and Kris Kristofferson
before becoming an actor. He went by the name Teddy Jack Eddy. Busey made
his film debut in 1968’s Wild in the Streets.
