The Bob White Theater was built in 1924 and has had many lifetimes. It was home
to epic Russ Meyer films for years, country music themed films, then Vietnamese language films. In its final days, it was the residence and workshop of a restorer
and collector of pipe organs.

Rita Hayworth (Margarita Carmen Cansino)
(October 17, 1918 – May 14, 1987)

Glamorous actress Rita Hayworth was featured in over 60 films throughout her
37-year career. She performed publicly as a dancer at the age of six.

When the Depression wiped out her family’s savings, she and her father went
to Tijuana, Mexico to perform in clubs because she was too young to perform
in Hollywood. Hayworth was the top pin-up girl for GIs during World War II.

Rita Hayworth was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 1980, which is said
to have contributed to her death at age 68.
