Cuba Gooding, Jr. won an Academy Award for Best
Actor for his character, Rod Tidwell in the 1996 film 
Jerry Maguire.

Cuba played Navy Master Chief Petty Officer Carl Brashear
in the above 2000 film. Some exterior locations were shot 
in downtown Portland.

A sequel to the 1986 classic“Top Gun” is in the works at

Paramount Pictures. The original director Tony Scott has been

hired and Tom Cruise will reprise his role as pilot Maverick.
