Sun Record company was founded by Sam Phillips ( shown below) in Memphis, Tennessee. Sun Records helped launch the careers of Elvis Presley, Johnny
Cash, Carl Perkins, and Roy Orbison. It was Sun record producer and engineer,
Jack Clement, who discovered and recorded Jerry Lee Lewis. The original Sun
Record logo was designed by a Memphis resident and high school classmate
of Phillips.

    you know whats so cool? my uncle jack went to school with elvis!!! they were like best friends!!! it was so cool and they had biology together and uncle jack let elvis cheat off of him. they both failed… but it was so cool and then during the schools break elvis would get on the stage at humes high school and he would perform!! haha!!!
