EBBETS FIELD TV

Radio announcer Red Barber called the first televised major league baseball
game which was broadcast on experimental station W2XBS, later WNBC-TV,
from Ebbets Field in Brooklyn, New York. The Brooklyn Dodgers and the
Cincinnati Reds played a doubleheader. The Reds won the first 5-2, and
the Dodgers took the second, 6-1.
