The television show 77 Sunset Strip is an hour-long private detective series
based on novels and short stories written by Roy Huggins. The show ran from
Friday October 10, 1958 to February 7, 1964 on the ABC network.

DISNEY SERIES DEBUTED ON THIS DATE IN 1957

The action/adventure drama series Zorro was produced by Walt Disney. It was
based on the well-known fictional character created in 1919 by pulp writer Johnston McCulley. The series premiered on Thursday October 10, 1957 with the final network broadcast on June 2, 1959. A total of seventy-eight episodes were produced.
