On the Sunday (Nov. 24th) after the assassination, President Kennedy’s coffin
was carried on a horse-drawn caisson to the U.S. Capitol to lie in state. During
the day and night, hundreds of thousands lined up to view the guarded casket.

    Argh…. these photos still bring tears to my eyes, even tho’ I lived thru those days – glued to the TV……

    I will never forget this day & how much it saddened me. And even now, watching TV coverage, I’m still saddened & feel lost. He was a great man!
