           Henry John Heinz (October 11, 1844 – May 14, 1919)

H.J. Heinz was an American businessman of German descent who, along
with L. Clarence Noble founded the H. J. Heinz Company in 1869. Their
first product is Henry’s ‘pure and Superior’ grated horseradish that was
grown on a garden patch given to Henry by his parents.
