ESTHER WILLIAMS HAS DIED AT 91

         Esther Jane Williams (August 8, 1921 – June 6, 2013) 

(AP) – Esther Williams, the swimming champion turned actress who starred
in glittering and aquatic Technicolor musicals of the 1940s and 1950s, has
died.

Williams’s died early Thursday in her sleep, according to Harlan Ball, her
longtime publicist.

Rock Singer-songwriter Gary U.S. Bonds (Gary Levone Anderson) had
his first hit,“New Orleans” in 1960. His only number-one single was in
1961 with “Quarter to Three”.

It has been said that Bonds changed his name so that he would be
confused with the public service announcements for government
bonds and get more air play.
