   Walter Brennan (July 25, 1894 – September 21, 1974) 

Brennan is one of three men to win three Oscars, having won the
Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor on three occasions
between 1936 and 1940. He is best known for playing Grandpa
McCoy on The Real McCoys, ABC/CBS 1957-1963).

    J. Cool here to say, besides his great acting abilities,
    Walter also had four records appear on “Billboard’s
    Hot 100 chart, including the theme song from the
    movie “Dutchman’s Gold” with Billy Vaughn’s
    Orchestra. His best effort was “Old Rivers” which
    was actually a “spoken” record which reached number
    five in 1962.
