Colonel Charles A. Lindbergh, Army Air Corps Reserve, was recognized with
the Congressional Medal of Honor for both courage and skill in navigating his
nonstop flight from New York City to Paris, France, in the Spirit of St. Louis. It
was presented by President Calvin Coolidge.
