THE “500” IS 103 TODAY!

With the speeds of the cars in those days, it took approximately seven hours 
for that first Indianapolis 500-Mile Race. There were a total of 46 entries and
80,000 spectators in attendance.

Thomas "Tom T." Hall

Hall has written 11 No. 1 hit songs, with 26 more that reached the Top 10,
including the No. 1 international pop crossover smash "Harper Valley PTA"
and the hit "I Love", which reached No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100. As a
teenager, he played in a band called Kentucky Travelers that would play
before the beginning of movies. Tom T. Hall was inducted into the Country
Music Hall of Fame in 2008.
