CRUISE SHIP SERIES DEBUTED ON THIS DAY IN 1977
Original ABC television run: September 24, 1977 – February 27, 1987
For its first seven years, the one-hour sitcom was very successful in the ratings. It
ranked among the top 20, and even the top 10, popular shows then currently on
television. "The Love Boat" them was sung by Jack Jones with lyrics written by
Paul Williams and music by Charles Fox.

Ford Star Jubilee was an anthology series that aired once
a month on Saturday nights on CBS at 9:00 P.M., E.S.T.
from the fall of 1955 to the fall of 1956. The series was
approximately 90 minutes long, aired in black-and-white
and color, and was typically broadcast live. Ford Star
Jubilee was sponsored by the Ford Motor Company.
