BORN ON THIS DAY IN 1904
Eileen Evelyn Greer Garson Fogelson (9-29-1904 to 4-6-1996)
British born actress Greer Garson won an Oscar Award for her role in
Mrs. Miniver in 1942. She received seven Academy Award nominations
and was acclaimed as one of the top box office draws of the 1940s. She
intended to become a teacher, studying French and literature in college,
but instead became a Hollywood star.
