SINGLE RECORDED ON THIS DAY IN 1959

The Everly Brothers recorded "Let It Be Me" in New York City, the first time
they recorded outside of Nashville. Among the back up musicians was Jerry
Allison who had been the drummer with singer Buddy Holly’s Crickets. The
song reached the 7th position on the Billboard Hot 100.
