John Hancock (January 23, 1737– October 8, 1793)

Hancock was prominent figure of the American Revolution 
and was the first and third Governor of the Commonwealth
of Massachusetts. He was also President of the Continental
Congress, the governing body of the United States during
the American Revolution.
