‘’HENDU’’ HAS DIED AT 57


David Lee Henderson (July 21, 1958 – December 27, 2015)

(AP) – Former major league outfielder Dave Henderson, who hit one of the most
famous home runs in postseason history, died Sunday after suffering a massive
heart attack.

Henderson died early Sunday morning at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, according to a statement from the Mariners, one of five teams Henderson played
for in his career. Henderson underwent a kidney transplant in late October.

Henderson was best known for his home run in the 1986 AL Championship
Series for Boston.

Marie Magdalene
"Marlene" Dietrich (December 27, 1901 – May 6, 1992) 

German born actress Marlene Dietrich starred on both the stage and on the
big screen. Her best known films include The Blue Angel (1930), Shanghai
Express (1932) and Desire (1936). She was ranked 9th on The American
Film Institute’s 1999 list of the Greatest Female Stars of All Time. She
began her acting career as a chorus girl in vaudeville and theater acts.

R&B/SOUL SINGER HAS DIED AT 74


William Franklin Guest (July 2, 1941 – December 24, 2015)

LOS ANGELES (AP) – William Guest, a member of Gladys Knight and
the Pips, has died.

Guest’s sister-in-law, Dhyana Ziegler, said he died Thursday in Detroit
of congestive heart failure.

Guest performed throughout the lifespan of the Grammy-winning group
from 1953 to 1989. He performed background vocals on hits such as
"I Heard It Through the Grapevine" and "Midnight Train to Georgia."

"My heart is broken, but I know his legacy will live on," said Guest’s
daughter, Monique Guest, in a statement.

Gladys Knight and the Pips were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall
of Fame in 1996 and the Apollo Hall of Fame in 2006.

The song "December, 1963 (Oh, What a Night)" hit number one on the UK
Singles Chart
on February 21, 1976 and went to number one on the U.S.
Billboard Hot 100 on March 13, 1976, remaining in the top spot for three
weeks and also spent one week on Cash Box. Billboard ranked it as the
No. 4 song for 1976.
