SINGLE RELEASED ON THIS DAY IN 1964
The Beach Boys song "I Get Around" was written by Brian Wilson and Mike
Love and was released as a single with "Don’t Worry Baby" as its B-side. It
became the group’s first number-one charting song in the United States. In
2004, it was ranked at #316 in Rolling Stone magazine’s list of The 500
Greatest Songs of All Time.

ROCK LEGEND IS 75 TODAY
Eric Victor Burdon was born in Tyne, Northumberland,
England.
Burdon is the lead singer of The Animals on the recording
"The House of the Rising Sun". He also worked with the
funk band War. The band’s name changed from the Alan
Price Combo to the Animals after Burdon’s arrival. He is
considered one of The 100 Greatest Singers of All Time
by Rolling Stone.
