After World War II, Adolf Eichmann escaped from Allied custody,
lived in Argentina under the alias Ricardo Klement, and was
eventually abducted by Israeli intelligence (Mossad) in May 1960.
He was brought to Israel, tried in Jerusalem, and convicted of war crimes, crimes against humanity, and crimes against the Jewish
people.
