Arlene Smith, an original member of the pop R&B girl group
The Chantels who co-wrote and sang lead on the classic 1957
hit “Maybe.”
One of her friends confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that
Smith died on Wednesday of natural causes in New York City.
In 2003, Rolling Stone placed “Maybe” at No. 199 on its list of
the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.

Actress and film producer Hilary Ann Swank first became
known in 1992 for her role on the television series Camp
Wilder (1992 – 1993, ABC) and made her film debut with
a minor role in Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992).
Her work in Premier (2004) earned her several accolades,

Actress.
Swank also won the Academy Award and Golden

have been nominated for Academy Awards for
Best Actress twice and won both times.
