Jay Black (David Blatt)

A Brooklyn native, Jay was the lead singer of the band “Jay and the Americans in
the 1960s.
The band had numerous hits including "Cara Mia", "Come a Little Bit
Closer
", and  "This Magic Moment".

As the result of mounting debts, Black sold his ownership of the name "Jay and the
Americans" to Sandy Deanne, Black’s former band mate and original member of
the group, for $100,000 in 2006. Black now performs solely under his stage name.
