hits on the pop charts, and was also one of the best-selling singles
the group released.

Stan Freberg turned 85 on August 7th

This song is one of the most well-known Motown tunes of the 1960s and
is considered the Four Tops’ signature song. It was the number one song
on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for two weeks.

Sugar Shack" was recorded at the Norman Petty Studios in Clovis, 
New Mexico, the same studio where Buddy Holly originally made
his early hits. The song spent five weeks on the Billboard
chart.
