

Cinco de Mayo (Spanish for ‘Fifth of May’) is an annual celebration to celebrate Mexico‘s victory over the Second
French Empire at the Battle of Puebla in 1862, led by
General Ignacio Zaragoza.

May Day is a European festival of ancient origins marking
the beginning of summer, usually celebrated on 1 May,
around halfway between the Northern Hemisphere’s
Spring equinox and Midsummer solstice.
International Workers’ Day is also observed on May 1st.
