In The Hague, Netherlands on this day in 1999, a war crimes tribunal indicted Slobodan Milosevic along with four others for atrocities in Kosovo. It was the first time that a sitting head of state had been
charged with such a crime. He was found dead at age 64 from an apparent heart attack in his prison cell on March 11, 2006.

Queen Mary
sailed on her maiden voyage on this day in 1936 captured the
Blue Riband in August of that year; she lost the title to SS Normandie in 1937
and recaptured it in 1938, holding it until 1952 when she was beaten by the
new SS United States. With the outbreak of the Second World War, she was
converted into a troopship and ferried Allied soldiers for the duration of the
war.

Victoria was Queen of the United Kingdom from 1837 until
1901. A national emblem of morality, she oversaw a great 
period of expansion in the British Empire and had the longest
reign of any monarch (nearly sixty-four years) until Queen 
Elizabeth II surpassed her in 2015.

a Rolling Stone," and "Positively 4th Street." He changed his name to Dylan
after the poet Dylan Thomas. Bod Dylan was born into a Jewish family, but later
converted to Christianity.
