The world’s first cloned cat—CC, or Copy Cat—was born in
a biomedical lab at Texas A&M University. CC, who lived for
18 years, had all the physical attributes and indifference
toward humanity of any other kitty. Her birth kickstarted
a global pet-cloning industry.

On March 3, 2020, CC died at 18 years old in College Station, Texas.

CC went on to have her own kittens, who were healthy and genetically unique.

(Fox News) – A nearly 27-year-old cat from England has been
named the world’s oldest living cat by Guinness World Records

.

Flossie, the record-breaking feline, received verification from
the world record reference guide, on Nov. 10, according to a
press release. 

Guinness World Records says Flossie was born on Dec. 29, 1995,
and she received her verification at the "nyan-tastic age of 26
years 316 days."

The world record guide claims Flossie’s age is "equivalent" to
about "120 human years."

The British brown and black cat received official recognition from Guinness World Records on Thursday.

TURNER, Ore. (KPTV) – A local cat might soon be in the Guinness
Book of World Records as the world’s oldest living cat.

FOX 12 talked to the owner of Samm, Charly Briggs who lives in
Turner. She said he is 26 years old, and her friends suggested she
check with Guinness to see if that age is significant. It turns out, it
is.

Briggs said she is in the process of submitting the proper evidence
to Guinness World Records to have Samm officially recognized.
