Tony Lee Dow (April 13, 1945 – July 27, 2022)
Actor Tony Dow, best known for his role as Wally Cleaver on the
classic sitcom Leave It to Beaver, died on Wednesday at the age
of 77.
Dow was still in hospice care Tuesday when his death from
cancer was prematurely announced.
At 11:10 p.m., 45 miles south of Nantucket Island, the Italian ocean
liner Andrea Doria and the Swedish ocean liner Stockholm collided
in a heavy Atlantic fog. Fifty-one passengers and crew were killed
in the collision, which ripped a great hole in the broad side of the
Italian vessel. Miraculously, all 1,660 survivors on the Andrea Doria
were rescued from the severely listing ship before it sunk late the
next morning. Both ships were equipped with sophisticated radar systems, and authorities were puzzled as to the cause of the
accident.

David Hattersley Warner (29 July 1941 – 24 July 2022)
Warner was an English actor, who worked in film, television, and
theatre. He portrayed both romantic leads and villainous characters.
David Warner died of a cancer-related illness at Denville Hall in Northwood, London, at age 80. He was diagnosed with the illness
eighteen months prior to his death.

Paul Anthony Sorvino (April 13, 1939 – July 25, 2022)
Actor, opera singer, businessman, writer, and sculptor Paul
Sorvinor often portrayed authority figures on both sides of
the law and was known for his roles as Paulie Cicero, based
on Paul Vario, in the 1990 gangster film Goodfellas, and
NYPD Sergeant Phil Cerreta on the TV series Law & Order.
Sorvino died from natural causes at the Mayo Clinic in
Jacksonville, Florida. He was 83.
