FAMOUS WORD’S ON THIS DATE IN 1971

Al Dvorin and Elvis
“ELVIS HAS LEFT THE BUILDING”…. Public address announcer
Al Dvorin, pictured on the right, made what would become a well
known phrase at the end of an Elvis Presley concert in
Minneapolis. He was asked to make the announcement
in an effort to quiet the fans who continued to call for a
encore. Dvorin died in an auto accident in 2004.
