Girl Scouts unveil new cookie for the 2020 season.
WASHINGTON (SBG) – Girl Scout cookies are now officially for sale and
there’s a new flavor in the lineup.
The Lemon-Up can be described as a "crispy lemon cookie baked with
messages inspired by Girl Scout entrepreneurs," according to a press
release.
Messages like “I am a go-getter” and “I am an innovator” are two of eight
phrases printed into the cookie.
The new Girl Scout cookies will only be available in certain areas but all
of the boxes will feature new packaging this year.
According to the organization, authentic cookies can only be purchased
from a registered Girl Scout.

Girl Scouts of the United States of America (GSUSA),
commonly referred to as simply Girl Scouts, is a youth
organization for girls in the United States and American
girls living abroad. Founded by Juliette Gordon Low in
1912, it was organized after Low met Robert Baden-
Powell, the founder of Scouting, in 1911.Upon returning
to Savannah, Georgia, she telephoned a distant cousin,
saying, "I’ve got something for the girls of Savannah,
and all of America, and all the world, and we’re going to
start it tonight! The Girl Scout activity most familiar may
be the annual sale of Girl Scout Cookies, which started
in 1917 as a money-earning opportunity for councils
and troops.
