Burton Leon "Burt" Reynolds was born in Lansing, Michigan.
Reynolds starred in movies such as Smokey and the Bandit (1977), and The
Cannonball Run (1981). The film that made Burt Reynolds a star was the 1972
thriller Deliverance. He starred in many television series and played Quint Asper,
the blacksmith in CBS‘s Gunsmoke for three seasons beginning in 1962.
