Sally turned 64 today. She is a real  winner with two Academy
Awards, three Emmy Awards, two Golden Globes and a
Screen Actors Award for best actress.

 
Marcia Wallace has turned 68 today. She was Carol Kester, the
Receptionist on the 1970’s sitcom “The Bob Newhart Show”.
She’s presently the voice of Edna Krabappel on the animated
series “The Simpsons”. Marcia won an Emmy for outstanding
Voice-Over performance in 1992.   

Omnibus was a commercially sponsored,educational live TV series with
host Alistar Cooke. It aired on Sunday afternoons from November of
1952 until 1961 on CBS, and later switched to Sunday evenings on
ABC. It finally moved to the NBC network in 1957 where it remained
until 1961. ABC aired a brief revival of the series in 1981. The series
won more than 65 awards,including seven Emmy’s and two Peabody
awards.
