playing the cowboy hitchhiker in Ridley’s Scott’s 1991
road movie THELMA & LOUISE. It was one of the
highest-grossing films of that year and won six
Academy Award nominations, and received an
Oscar for Best Original Screenplay.
Brad’s first leading role was in Robert Redford’s 1992
film, shown above. It won the Academy Award for Best
Cinematography.
