The Breakfast Club was a long-run morning variety show on NBC Blue Network/ABC radio originating in Chicago, Illinois. Hosted by Don McNeill (shown above).The radio program ran from June 23, 1933 through December 27, 1968. McNeill’s 35½-year run
as host remains the longest tenure for an emcee of a network entertainment program, surpassing Johnny Carson (29½ years) on The Tonight Show and Bob Barker (34⅔ years) on The Price is Right. For one year, beginning on February 22, 1954, the show
was simulcast on ABC radio and television, ending on February 25, 1955.

SHOW WENT NATIONAL ON THIS DATE IN 1968

The first national broadcast of Misterogers’ Neighborhood was on most National Education Television stations. When NET ceased broadcasting in 1970, PBS
assumed the network and its programming. It was also around this time that the
show had a title change, to the more-familiar Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. The
series was in production till February 20, 1976, and again from August 27, 1979
to August 31, 2001. The show was hosted by Fred Rogers.

The Dukes of Hazzard  originally aired on the CBS television network beginning
on January 26, 1979. It was inspired by the 1975 film Moonrunners.Throughout
its TV run, "The Dukes of Hazzard" featured many newcomers as well as guest
appearances by established country stars. The theme song “The Good Ol’ Boys”
was written and performed by Waylon Jennings. He was also the shows narrator.
