(Fox News) – Evangelical Christian outreach saw nearly 20,000
people of faith gather in Rome, Italy. Some watched a stream
of the festival outside in the rain.

The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association said the two-day
event was held on Nov. 5 and 6 at Rome’s Palazzo dello Sport.

The festival’s name translates to "We" or "Us" in Italian.

Newsmax has learned the Detroit-born LaHaye, who was also an Air Force
veteran, "is where he has always wanted to be," said Jerry B. Jenkins, who
authored 16 bestsellers with LaHaye.

Time magazine named LaHaye one of the 25 most influential evangelicals
in America and in the summer of 2001 the Evangelical Studies Bulletin named
him the most influential Christian leader of the preceding quarter century.
