Academy Award winning actress Grace Kelly became the Princess of Monaco when she married Prince Rainier lll in 1956 and retired from
acting. Grace died as the result of a stroke in 1982. She was 52.

This picture was taken in the 1890’s before construction  of
the dam began on the Bull Run River, a tributary of the Sandy
River located east of Portland. 

Construction of the dam began in 1928 and was completed
the following year.
