their last broadcast of the “Amos ‘n’ Andy” show on
this date in 1960. The comedy series began on the
NBC Blue network 1929. The final  program aired
on the CBS radio network.

“When a Man Loves a Woman” was released in 1966 and
made it to the top spot on both the Billboard Hot 100 and
R&B charts.

Major League Baseball Center Fielder, Joe
Dimaggio played all 13 years of his career for
the New York Yankees. He was voted into
the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1955. Joe  
was once married  to Marilyn Monroe. 
He died in 1999 at the age of 84.
